Keeping Home Life Comfortable for Those You Love

Senandung was built around one simple idea: that every older person deserves a calm, well-organised home — and every family deserves genuine peace of mind.

How Senandung Came to Be

Senandung — which carries the sense of a quiet, reassuring hum — was founded in Shah Alam by people who had themselves navigated the complicated business of looking after an older relative while managing a busy family life. They knew how quickly things could slip through the cracks: missed grocery runs, a cluttered kitchen, the uncertainty of not quite knowing how Mum's week had gone.

That firsthand experience shaped everything about how Senandung operates. Rather than offering a rigid set of rules, we work out with each family exactly what practical help would make the most difference — and then we put it into place, quietly and reliably, week after week.

We've been doing this work in Selangor since 2019, and we're still a small team. That's a deliberate choice. A smaller team means families always have a familiar point of contact, and older relatives are never meeting strangers at the door.

Our Purpose

To make home life more comfortable, better organised, and genuinely less stressful for older adults and the family members who care about them.

Our Approach

We take time to understand each family's situation before suggesting anything. Arrangements are built around the person, not squeezed into a standard package.

Our Values

Respect, reliability, and clear communication. We treat every household the way we'd want our own relatives to be treated — with care and without fuss.

The People Behind Senandung

A small, dedicated group — each bringing their own experience of caring for family members at home.

FI

Faridah bt Ibrahim

Household & Meal Planning Coordinator

Manages the day-to-day task coordination and meal planning cycles for client families. Her methodical approach keeps everything running smoothly without the family having to think about it.

How We Work

Practical standards that keep our service consistent, respectful, and worth trusting.

Coordinator Continuity

Each family works with the same coordinator throughout. Changing the point of contact mid-arrangement is something we actively avoid.

Information Handled Carefully

Family information is kept private and used only for the coordination it was shared for. We comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

Clear Written Records

Task lists, session notes, and menu outlines are kept in written form and shared with families at agreed intervals — no verbal-only arrangements.

Honest Communication

If something isn't working well, we say so. Families are kept in the loop honestly, not just with positive updates.

Regular Service Reviews

Every three months, we review the arrangement with the family to check it still fits well and make adjustments where needed.

Ongoing Internal Learning

Our team regularly updates knowledge on elder home coordination, family communication, and community resources across Selangor.

Coordinating Home Life for Older Adults in Selangor

Senandung works with families across Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Klang, and surrounding areas of Selangor. Our focus is on the practical, day-to-day side of home life — the kind of steady support that keeps a household running comfortably without placing the full coordination burden on busy family members.

Household coordination for older adults looks different for every family. For some, it's about making sure laundry and light tidying happen on a regular schedule. For others, it's knowing that someone is thinking carefully about what's in the kitchen and what goes on the shopping list each week. For families who want to be more directly involved in day-to-day caregiving, our guidance workshops offer a calm, practical grounding in how to approach that responsibility well.

What connects all three services is the same underlying intent: to reduce the daily friction that can build up around an older person's home, so that time with family can be spent more warmly and less frantically. Senandung handles the coordination; families and their relatives handle the relationship.

We're based at No. 84, Jalan Wawasan in Shah Alam, and we're happy to discuss any of our services by phone or email before any commitment is made.
